TAKING OFF

We have started the school year with many different challenges in our STEAM LAB. It has been an introducing  week in which we have been experienced the different disciplines that STEAM involves building the tallest and strongest structures and testing how the forces and weight work in bridges as scientists, mathematicians and engineers would do. Working with technologies and art as David Hockney does in his portraits made us conscious of the power of the color and perspectives in the compositions. These activities allowed us to develop skills as critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, collaboration, initiative and communication and technology literacy.

DESPEGANDO

Hemos comenzado el curso con actividades introductorias a STEAM, de manera que pudiésemos reconocer en ellas las disciplinas que la integran:  Construimos torres que lo más fuertes y altas posibles o experimentamos como funcionan las fuerzas y los pesos en la construcción de puentes como harían los ingenieros, científicos y matemáticos en la vida real. También tuvimos tiempo de experimentar con la tecnología y el arte como en su momento hizo David Hockney en sus retratos, entendiendo la importancia del color en sus composiciones. gracias a estas actividades hemos desarrolla habilidades como el pensamiento crítico, la resolución creativa de problemas, el uso eficiente de las tecnologías, la comunicación y por supuesto, la importancia del trabajo cooperativo
