OCTOBER FULL OF CHALLENGES

ONCE THE SCHOOL YEAR WAS STARTED AND THE PUPILS WERE SETTLED IN THE ROUTINES STEAM WORKSHOPS RESTARTED:

First grades were given a challenge: They had to build the tallest tower they could using straws and clay. Students had to work cooperatively and some of them became authentic engineers!

As a part of our school VerdIA project, 4th graders are creating their own waste bin made out of recycled papers. We discussed how important recycling is, and how we can reuse different materials. Students brought magazines and used papers and started building their own waste bin. We can’t wait to have it ready and use it in the class.

During our first unit of inquiry second graders are investigating about nutrition.

In our STEAM classes we are going to learn about food labels and how to read them.

Using the YUKA APP we are scanning the bar codes of different products and we are going to collect all the information about the things we eat and see if they are actually healthy or not.

Join us in our health eating challenge and be a real fooder !!!
